Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Why Jack Hughes?- This is assuming he breaks out to the hyped, skilled playmaker he was supposed to become.

Why Anders Lee?- A captain for the NYI and the Team USA selection committee has chosen players like Lee in the past. Lee offers some size and sandpaper for this USA team.

Why Jacob Trouba?- This is assuming he becomes that consistent, responsible defenseman he was signed to be. Also offers USA a right shot dman for their scratches, if needed.

Where's Parise, Wheeler, Suter, etc?- I predict Team USA moves on from the aged USA vets. The only one (or 2) I can see USA bringing back are Wheeler and Suter. I believe Parise's time with USA has come to an end.

Where's Phil Kessel?- Based on previous beef between Kessel and USA committee, I believe USA has no interest adding Kessel to the team. I am also assuming Kessel gets to a point where he's no longer the same productive player.

WHO I LEFT OFF THE TEAM THAT CAN VERY WELL MAKE IT

-Cam Atkinson: Cam has become an excellent player for the CBJ and can offer scoring and two way ability. (As well as being a vet)

-Nick Leddy: Leddy is another great player who I can see USA favoring a lot.

-Torey Krug: I believe it's gonna come down to Quinn Hughes vs Torey Krug. I don't see the point of having 2 offensive minded dmen in the scratches, I'd prefer if they had one offensive dman in the scratches and someone else who's more reliable.

Brian Dumoulin, Scott Mayfield, Brandon Carlo: This may not be popular, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a straight shut down dman make the sqaud.
