You may have heard about the idea of a revolutionary 3D 2F system.

To be honest, we just have too many forwards to make it work. So I traded Mikheyev for a defensive LHD.

Here's how it works, each line is a duo of forward with a puck-moving defenseman playing behind them, and covering the slot when in the defensive zone.

It doesn't fit the CapFriendly website - we'll have to ask them to update the site when the system gets adopted.

Or, we could just let the defesman play their defensive positions like they have been trained to do for their entire playing careers and let the forwards do the same respectively.

Revolutionary? Hardly. Gimmicky and unrealistic, most certainly.

Ehh, I'd rather stick with what works for all nhl teams that are successful. This is just asking for trouble.
I like the thought you put into this, but the whole makeup of the team has to be altered. Its a no go.
