If a call doesn't involve Suzuki or Kotkaniemi, Columbus hangs up.

Moral of the story, if some team asked you for a guy like Petry, would you not want a younger guy that has the potential to fill his spot in the future? You can't just get guys you want without giving up someone the other team wants. They'd want 1 of Suzuki or Kotkaniemi. They're not gonna let you have that kind of centre depth and screw them over just because you want it. Trades don't work like that kid.

Forsure. I think he is a good player and a reason we drafted him high. I think this trade though would give Columbus a guy to plug into the system right now and be effective plus that mid to higher end prospect for the future.

Habs would have no problem giving Columbus KK but not sure that is going to help Columbus win now
