What were you thinking? Toronto would never agree with this.

Explain? Don't like top pairing 24 yr old well rounded/point producing RHD's? He is definitely worth more than William.

William+Sosh+ probably.

Eakin is cheap in the above IMO. He needs a change of scenery the way people are bashing him.

Honestly I hate to see Nylander go, but I feel that it would be what it takes to grab the final piece for a championship Toronto Maple Leafs team. I haven't seen much of Klingberg so I can't say whether he's bad or not. But I feel that Nylander moving might be what needs to happen for that final piece. Although I really doubt Babcock would swallow moving both Carrick AND Soshnikov, players that he really likes in his lineup.
Whether Dallas accepts it, I have no clue

No, I don't hate it. But why did you include Eakin in the trade? Isn't he the classic 3rd/4th line centre? And now because the Leafs have those positions are filled you made him a second line winger. That's what makes the trade bad. Now look at your two principle players. Nylander for Klingberg? Now that's an interesting trade. The classic young riser for the more established player. IMO, the Stars have forwards and need Dman so they don't do the deal. Actually the Leafs might do the deal of they thought the RWers of the future would be Marner, Brown and to play 2nd line minutes....Kapanen.
Since the Leafs aren't Cup contenders this year....A type of deal that could go down between the Leafs and Stars....would be at TDL Polak and Hunwick....if the Stars needed depth and if they thought those guys could provide solid play for a four months for maybe Honda a near NHL ready Dman. Something like that.

And of course why don't the Leafs just wait till next summer when guys that aren't even on the team are costing you 11.5 in cap (Michalek, Greening, Laich, Robidas) and just sign a UFA, or get a good player that can't be protected in expansion instead of trading a potential stud and cheap right now...Nylander.
