I don't see how Calgary doesn't pursue that as best they can. If they can get Danault and get Backlund to Seattle it's nearly a seamless transition to a player younger that seems to be just finding his ceiling and maintains the defensive pedigree that Backlund has carried for so long.

Yea, would have to trade for an immediate position of need. Montreal seems pretty well set up this year. Shouldn't be trading for futures.
