Description
I think to package them together is asking for way too much, absolutely love Colin White and would not care if the Flames over paid for him, Braanstrom seems less likely, the kid will be a stud at some point here.

Fair, I guess a better question would be where does Colin White fit going forward? Is he a 2C? Does he go to the wing maybe? It seems like with Stutzle, Norris, Brown, Batherson, Tierney all able to play C there are a lot of bodies at the position. Where would White rank as a C among those guys?

I really don't think Ottawa should trade either player. Brannstrom looks ready for the show this year, and he's going to completely change the way this team plays once he really starts to grow into his role. He isn't going anywhere. White is also looking like a piece who is definitely a part of their future. His production hasn't quite been there, but he's been one of Ottawa's best players.

he probably slides in as a middle 6 c for the next little bit, he might become available in the future if tim has a nice transition to centre, and pinto and norris turn out to be better than him, but as of now id say hes been our best centre so im not sure the sens would move him

Colin White will be needed for another season or two. His value is like Tierney, they will only trade him if they are getting a good upgrade somewhere else, because he's needed. SO guys like White or Tierney will be overpriced for now, and not good trade targets. They were both being offered up for defencemen, because the defence was so bad, but the defence has improved dramatically, so they are both off the trade market.

Brannstrom doesn't get a lot of respect because of his size, but he may be the best young offensive defenceman of the 2017 & 2018 drafts not named Hughes or Makar. He's not at their level, they were 4th and 7th overall picks, but he's definitely going to turn some heads in the near future, and should be a consistent 50+ point defender for most of his career.
