Description

Line 1, 2, 3 and 4 don't mean much in Montreal as the TOI is pretty similar for all forwards since the beginning of the year. This isn't some long term plan but more of a one game switch to see what we can get out of this team.

- Split Kulak and Romanov. I'd like to see a more defensively minded body with him and see how he adjust.

-Evans' playing too good right now and I need to see how he fares with added pressure, play the hot hands and give him some top 9 wingers just to see where he is in his dev. KK isn't showing anything like he did in the playoffs so it's time to play a little less minutes. Not saying he should be on the press box but a fourth line playtime with PP1 playtime should be fine for next couple of games.

- Yes I'd try to split Zook and Anderson for a game to see if they can ignite a spark for Danault and re-ignite Tatar.

- Sadly because of the cap situation we can't bring another guy up otherwise KK would be on the wing and Poehling or Weal on the fourth.

Man oh man do I really like the fact you have noticed Evans and would move him up to the 3rd line. I have been saying this for 2 weeks. It sucks the border is closed and we have this darn covid, because I have been saying for 2 full years to move Danault. He was the #1 C for 3 full seasons and the most he had was 13 goals. There is only 1.9% difference in face off wins between Danault and Evans. If covid was not here and border open I would trade Danault now. So for this year, keep him and then trade him at seasons end.

Finallyyyy someone who isn't riding KK's you know what! He has been subpar for a while, even in last years play-in/playoffs where he had 4 goals yes but 2 of which literally just bounced right off of him... I can't believe Berg wldn't have offered a bit more than just Mete with him to acquire Dubois : (
