I think NSH should accept the Ellis proposal, and the Ekholm one is close. With the retention, I think if TOR either upgrades Hållander to Abruzzese, or both Hållander & Sandin to Robertson, NSH accepts.

NSH declines the Arvidsson offer without hesitation. Even with the Caps' goalie situation, that seems like a lot for Rinne right now. WSH doesn't have the capspace to make it work anyway.

If the Preds are doing this much selling, Granlund and Haula are certainly gone to the highest bidder too. Possibly Jarnkrok, Grimaldi, Cousins, Benning, Boroweicki...

I don't get the Hainsey signing. There are still enough warm bodies and prospects left, that it's not necessary.

Its more of a retool and youth injection. The blueline turned to crap for this season in the scenario, but they stay competitive due to the forward depth. It wouldn't hurt to trade Haula and Granlund, but I didn't do that.

What needs to be added in the Boston trade?

I think the Ekholm trade is fair.

Hainsey is to give Lilly an experienced veteran and mentor to play with.

I don't think there's an add that works for NSH, in the Arvidsson proposal. BOS doesn't have any main roster players I could see them wanting to give up, that would make sense for NSH here. Kase doesn't really bring any value. He's an RFA with arbitration rights and isn't living up to his current contract. I wouldn't want to pay what ever he gets on his next deal. The 1st is presumably a late pick in what's supposed to be a weaker draft, and Studnicka isn't a high end enough prospect to be the main piece here. BOS doesn't really have much else of value prospect-wise though, and their next couple 1sts likely will be later picks too.

Borowiecki and Sbisa are both experienced vets that could mentor. I'd at least try them with Liljegren first, instead of signing a near 40 year old who hasn't played in a year.

Leafs say no too Ellis deal and they say no to the Ekholm deal.

We already have a solid top four and Ellis makes too much. We will be protecting 4D in expansion so Ellis doesn't make sense... Especially for Nylander.

Ekholm I would entertain, but not for the price of Sandin and a first. I would do liljegren and a first but sandin is off limits.

Cmon, Studnicka and a 1st AND kase for a 2nd line winger. Yeah we want a 2nd line winger, but bruins are paying too much for that one lol
