Don't think the Bruins would trade Frederic now and I'm not really sure about his value tbh

Sabre fan here. Mittelstadt has been an unfairly maligned player in Buffalo. He was rushed to the NHL. Had he spent a 2nd year in college and then a full year in the AHL and been slowly integrating into the NHL this year, Sabre fans would be over the moon with excitement. As is, there is tempered enthusiasm regarding his play in 5 games this season; he has looked engaged, quick, capable defensively and has flashed dynamic offensive skill.

I think he is a very difficult player to gauge for trade value. His ceiling in my view remains very high. For what it's worth, my ceiling for him is Jake Guentzel and I think Mittelstadt ultimately ends up being a winger with either Eichel or Cozens and he produces strong offensive production in that role. Based on that, the only way I would trade Mittelstadt would be as part of a package for an established near-star-level player (ie: Mittelstadt++ for established #2 centre or established #1 goalie).

Of course, the Sabres may see him as a player who will be exposed in the expansion draft and be happy to just get something for him.

Mittlestadt was rushed under botteril. Adams is doing a good job of keeping him isolated and not putting alot of pressure on him. I think Mitts is playing very well this year, and right now I dont feel comfortable trading him. I think you should look at Tage Thompson instead. He has a good shot but he needs to put everything together
