I've seen numerous Eichel to Rangers posts here, and have come to a conclusion that a Eichel to NYR trade must involve Kakko, Chytil, Lundkvist/Schneider, Strome and a 1st. Basically an elite prospect, two great prospects, roster player to even out the cap and a 1st round pick.

So if we were to fill the blanks and MTL makes an inquiry about Eichel, imo the offer must be something like this:

Nick Suzuki
Cole Caufield
Kaiden Guhle
Phillip Danault
2021 1st round pick (MTL)

I added a bit of a premium bonus, as in a normal situation BUF and MTL are division rivals.

Now will Habs take a deal such? Most likely not. But in terms of a fair deal, I think it has to be something in this ballpark.

That’s the type of deal you’d have to give Buffalo since they have no intention of making a trade and Eichel hasn’t asked for one however that’s a lot to give up if you’re Montreal they’d be better off keeping their guys
