Description
My estimate on bonuses:
Panarin - $850,000 max shedule A, Does Not obtain Shedule B, No GP bonuses in this year of contract
Campbell - $750,000 GP bonus
Kempny - $225,000 GP bonus, Does Not obtain any Schedule A bonuses
Forsling - $45,000 GP bonus, Does Not obtain any Schedule A bonuses
Schmaltz - $75,000 GP bonus, Does Not obtain any Schedule A or B bonuses
Hinostroza - $62,500 GP bonus, Does Not obtain any Schedule A bonuses
Each of these adds up to $2,007,500 in overages. I added another ~$250,000 for some minor differences in my assessment. Obviously if Panarin hits Schedule B this is all completely useless.
Please correct me if you have more information on these bonuses for each contract.

A line of Anisimov-Toews-Hossa would be an absolute power line capable of taking on the opponents best line and producing.
Obviously Panarin-Shipachyov-Kane would be a scoring line. Opponents would have to choose between defending the Toews line or the Kane line.
3rd line is a secondary scoring line with skill and speed.
4th line is more of a shutdown line with 3 high energy guys that are very good defensively but still have the ability to produce.

Possibly resign Campbell with some roster changes.
Trade right to Panik or resign depending on asking price.

Kinda wishful thinking that you can get a high return for Kruger without taking any money back on him. That still 3.1m a year for two years.

Outside of the box thinking here, so bear with me. Assuming Darling doesn't extend prior to the deadline AND Crawford comes back healthy. Do you trade him at the deadline? The Hawks need to have a 2nd goalie signed by the time of the expansion draft that meets the requirements. He meets those requirements, but he's a great backup that has played very well in the playoffs against Nashville. He's very cheap. May get a decent return where otherwise you may lose him for nothing. Thoughts? Conflict too much with the win now mentality?

The Blackhawks got 2 first round draft picks for Andrew Shaw who then got paid $3.9 mil AAV for SIX years.
Kruger and Shaw post nearly the same career possession number while Kruger starts 71% of draws in the defensive zone and Shaw starts 55% in the offensive zone.
Both have about 350 GP and Shaw has 148 points, while Kruger has 95. But Shaw saw 802 minutes of PP time to Kruger's 146. Not to mention that nearly all of Krugers PP time came in his rookie season.
Shaw has gotten to play alongside top Blackhawks forwards (Toews, Hossa, Sharp, Kane, Versteeg, ect.) many times in his career while Kruger has basically only played with bottom 6 forwards.
Kruger made Sweden's WCoH team. Go look at the other names on that roster.

I don't think that is something the Hawks are concerned with as all they have to do is place a qualifying offer on Lars Johansson and he will count as their 2nd goalie. There are no other requirements for goalies.

Panarin has a potential to earn the same bonuses as last year in the Schedule B bonus according to this site. His minum games played bonus is going to be hit. We just need him to have an average year.

However, I dont think Shipachyov will be that much against the cap. Panarin was just as highly sought after and look at his cap hit without the bonus.

I agree with you on the Kruger deal. He is the contract we have to get rid of.

I think you are nuts in saying that Debrincat makes the team next year. I know he is lighting up the O but look at his line and that doesnt mean alot. Same thing with Fortin.

Dale Tallon Jr, did you read the description?
It says that obviously if Panarin hits Schedule B bonuses then this is useless. I don't believe he will though.
Panarin doesn't have GP bonuses in this year of his contract.
Panarin's contract was restricted on salary because he was required to sign an entry level contract. Shipachyov is 29 and is not restricted to an entry level contract. He will go to the highest bidder willing to take a gamble.
In this scenario, yes they have to get rid of Kruger, but I don't think in every scenario they have to get rid of him.

This is Debrincat's 3rd year in the OHL posting 1.53, 1.68, and currently 2.15 Points Per Game. I don't think at this point you can possibly justify his stats by saying they're only because his line mates are good. Kid can score.
Fortin is different but he almost made the team out of camp this year.
