Can someone please give me more insight into Frank Corrado? Why would MTL want him again?

As little value Holland an Corrado have as NHL trade material, you put a 26 year old Barberio career AHLer on the Leafs blue line.
Same with Tinordi....he's 24 years old in the AHL..HIs father who what 50 years old? Has more NHL upside. Calgary get wait to get Enroth in their net.

Well since they were also getting Holland I'm not sure why you focused on him. They gave up Barb in the above and a pick also. Corrado helps with the d depth in the AHL. Leafs give another d man a try.

Calgary buries him for now........need org depth. Our management seems to be willing to lose him.

Barbiero and Tinordi are fringe NHL dmen. Since there is nothing noteworthy being moved, why not give them a shot? Hunwick and Corrado don't have a role on this team now or in the future IMO. Try out someone else.

Or you know you can just sit on guys we don't like or want as opposed to trying to find a guy who can anchor the bottom pairing next year.

The reason i bring it up is because Holland for a 5th, even though i think that is still too much but thats me, makes sense in most realms. Looking at the other half of this trade though we see Habs adding a RH dman they don't need and losing a LH dman which they do need. Aside form that though. Are we not essentially trading for the sake of trading at this point? Corrado for Barberio is pretty much a lateral move that would only be done if one was no longer liked by their organization.

Anyhow I digress. I was really asking someone's opinion on Corrado. I don't know a whole lot about him.

Corrado has played so little in the past year and a third, it's hard to get a real feel for him. But gotta think he can't get up to playing even at a NHL calibre after being docile so long. Smallish but fast.
Leafs are keeping him around as their eighth Dman, cause they are afraid to lose him to waivers. And right now the Leafs don't want to promote Valiev or Nielsen to sit on the bench, or Dermot (injured). The rest of the Marlies are good AHL guys but not NHL good. So Corrado sits and becomes a UFA next summer as he not offered a contract by the Leafs.
