Chiarot and Weber were the only reason Habs beat Pittsburg in the bubble I don't think an upgrade defensively is what they need. Maybe some depth defensively but giving up a 1st round pick for a mediocre upgrade doesn't make sense to me.

Same trade with no retention on lgd. 3rd is for lgd, 4th is for taking on weal. No retention done deal.

Wings have too many other players they need to retain on at the deadline

yeah MTL Is not giving Norlinder for a player that has 2G this year and is a free agent at the end of the year.

I don't see the Habs going two weeks without Armia and Lehkonen for Hall at this point, not with the way he's been the last couple of seasons. Nevermind adding Norlinder and the draft picks.
