Description
Buffalo gets a good 2nd line winger for two more seasons. Penguins move a player they likely would have lost in the expansion draft and get a rental instead.

This is something Buffalo could do if they aren't satisfied with whatever picks and prospects are being offered for Hall.

And for anyone saying "BUT HE ONLY HAS 2 GOALS"...the dude is shooting like 2% and has been on a historically bad team.

BUF declines very quickly.

Is Hall having a horrendous year? Yes.

But Zucker has what 41 pts the past two seasons and is equally poor this year. 5.5mil is a bad salary to take on for that production, especially since the BUF rebuild needs years. In his career, Zucker has scored 41 pts, 41 pts, 47 pts and one time 64 pts back in 2017-2018. He doesn;t have negative value, but Hall AND retention is worth way more.

5.5mil for 40ish pts a year is not a good contract on a player that injuries seem to be creeping up (especially given his linemates and icetime, his production should be way higher). Good player, but about 1.5mil overpaid and of no use to BUF really.

IMHO, Buffalo should take that and run. Zucker, while having a rough year, has been injured as played on a line that has not suited him. Buffalo desperately needs quality with term. They get that in this deal and get an additional pick. Hall, who is having an awful season production wise, is a play driving winger. Also, after watching the game last night, has shot himself in the foot a lot this season. He had 2 turnovers that directly led to Pit goals. Not sure he is worth that package, even with retention.

This is bad for both teams.

1st BUF needs draft picks. Then they need a coach like Torts. Honestly, if CBJ doesn't move on from Torts the next coach in BUF should be Babs. Don't even want to hear the whiners. Players there don't even care anymore. They need someone to lay down the law, straighten them out, and turn them back into a hockey team.

2nd Hall is not that good. It doesn't really benefit the penguins to move a guy with control for him. Zucker isn't a cap dump, he's a solid player. They don't need to lose that unless they already have something else coming back to replace it. The only thing this would do is create a hole on the LW.
