Forward group looks impressive. Dreidger doesn't have enough experience to make a 100% bet as a starter and Forsberg is not a good enough backup. I would resign Smith.

Also not sure how Neal is on LTIR lol but I guess if Tampa can do it why not.

Doubt you have enough space to resign Nurse, Bear, and Jesse in 22/23. Dreidger also probably costs more. I would not sign Barrie, sign Kulikov instead and keep Bouchard as a RD. Then the money should work too.

I have 21 million to sign Nurse the next year. Forsberg is doing above average on a brutal Ottawa team. When are people going to accept Drieger is good? 3 Years from now. he is only 26. I looked at signing Smith again, but another year older yet again. Kulikov to me is still an unknown and how much is he going to cost? 4 Million??? I would rather keep Bariie at that price as he is rolling on this team and he was the guy everyone always talked about Edmonton needing and how he would fit, now get rid of him. Not sure why?

Neal is obviously hurt still and will probably retire at the end of the year is my guess. He JUST CANT stay healthy anymore.

That’s an optimistic contract for RNH, I could see a center starved team offering more money and more term.

I like Dreidger just think it would be nice to do a 1a and b, not sure if Forsberg is that guy but fill your boots. I don't know much about Kulikov but my guess is he may be a bargain 2LD who can help if Klef is not at top level when/if he comes back. He's making 1.5M now so maybe he would go for 2.5. I like Barrie too but hopefully Bouchard should be able to replace a good part of his offense and is cost controlled. We need to take advantage of cap savings and playing Bouchard on the left seems sub optimal. If you want to keep Barrie and Bouch though, I would be inclined to trade Bear for a pick and a good forward prospect.

Your thoughts on Neal retiring are news to me, would sure make things easier capwise. Overall I like your plan, if we are able to sign two of RNH, Hyman, and Tatar, I would be thrilled. All three and like you say, we're in three lines territory unbelievable. Happy days in Oil country ahead.
