Description
With Boldy coming up and Grenway coming off a good year needed a new contract, this is probably the off-season to get a return for him. His success this year is bitter sweet because the young guys are almost ready and he has figured out how to use his tools at the NHL level. I think he might score 50 at some point but he’s probably a 40 point 3rd line wing, so he is replaceable.

This is all about stirring the pot.
Trades
1.
MIN
  1. Regula, Alec
  2. Strome, Dylan
  3. 2021 4th round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
MN needs a bit more to equalize value. Regula could be locked out with Boqvist and Mitchell ahead of him but has potential and MN needs D prospects. Strome fits the Wild on the ice but I wonder if BG feels “you can win with him”. I think we can.
2.
MIN
  1. Boqvist, Jesper
  2. 2021 2nd round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Taken from a previous post. I like this for the Wild, I’ve read good things about Boqvist but he can’t breakthrough in NJD. If he can play C, I would consider dumping him right into the 3C spot and hope he pushes JEE back down to that spot. Unfortunately, I don’t know if this makes any sense for NJD.

    3.
    MIN
    1. Beecher, John [Reserve List]
    2. 2021 3rd round pick (BOS)
    Additional Details:
No rumor, pure spitballing. BOS just feels like a team that would be in on Greenway.

      4.
      MIN
      1. Struble, Jayden [Reserve List]
      2. 2021 2nd round pick (MTL)
      Additional Details:
Taken from a previous post. Greenway fits the Bergevin style, but things could be changing. Struble adds needed defensive depth to the prospect pool. A package including Greenway plus for Kotkaniemi would be ideal but it’s highly unlikely he moves.

Is this the same Greenway who has a negative WAR and an even worse xWAR ?

Yup. But he’s 6 5, so hockey men want him. I’m a Wild fan so I’m obviously a bit biased.

At this point Bergevin would likely re-sign Armia who's better and won't cost two 2nds

Completely fair. I took the idea from a few other MTL posts. And I’m wondering if MB will be the GM by the time the draft rolls around.

Hawks aren't going to move Regula that easily so can't see this package going through
