Description

Good to see Kurashev get center opportunities again, I liked his work with Kane when possible. Looking forward to the Hardman debut even though no carpenter is likely gonna hurt the PK. Hopefully Dach, Debrincat, Hagel and Kampf are enough to have a good PK. De Haan being out means I can finally see if my theory that despite his good analytics, De Haan is a negative on our defense. Strome is back and hes actually playing center. Good to see since hes not a good winger. Lank needs to step it up tonight and go back on a hot streak if he wants to A. Help this team make the playoffs and B. Get a contract extension this offseason worth NHL starter money. Top 6 Hagel is always fun, and hes next to Kirby which is extra fun. Vinnie and Kaner will hopefully be fun too

I don't understand why Mitchell and Beaudin aren't getting opportunities in the lineup, If they aren't going to play send them down to the minors, I'm sick to always see them as a scratch or on the taxi squad. I also want to see Gaudette in the lineup and see what he is capable of doing to determine whether the hawks protect him or resign him.

I’m not ready to give up on Stillman yet. The turnover wasn’t great but that goal was all on Lankinen, who has been really bad recently. I just don’t think the sample size is high enough to say that Stillman doesn’t have potential to be an NHL caliber defenseman, especially on a sheltered third pair. But I would really like to get more Beaudin and Mitchell games. Hopefully we go young next year with the defense.

My issue isn't that Stillman can never be NHL caliber. Its that he arrived to the Hawks and has been GIVEN 100% NHL ice time despite being bad. Not even 1 game in Rockford to learn their system.
The other D prospects have had to EARN their NHL ice time and still can't get it.
