I'm all for Montreal getting him once they're no longer in the Canadian Division. Have to think Buffalo will be reluctant to trade him within their division... probably adds a piece to the price. I'm thinking similar when Vancouver was trading Schneider and they sent him to the Devils for 10th overall but were asking 7th overall plus from the Oilers.

I wouldnt be trading primeau, i think habs have lots of potential package that would have buffalo considering moving Eichel.

I wouldn’t either but price ain’t going anywhere unfortunately, can always sign a good cheap back up, can’t let the kid sit with no chance to play

Agreed that Primeau needs to play, but he is 21 even if he spent another full year in laval would still be able to come up the following year and at the very least get 30-35 starts a year and be on schedule to take over starting duties by 25-26
