No its not. Hischier is 22, signed long term to a good deal, is captain, and is already a #1 Center. The Sabres get the 2 best prospects in the deal as well, the Sabres get 3 assets to break even

Who cares Eichel is a captain too.

Hishcier is pretty close to the same value as Reinhart just 3 years younger.

So it's Eichel & Thompson

Miles Wood, Dawson Mercer, Graeme Clarke, Nathan Bastian, and a mid 1st round pick

That's horrible for the Sabres. Mercer is the only good piece in that.

Hischier > Reinhart for starters. Wood had 17 goals, Bastian has 40 NHL games on the 4th line, Clarke had 16 points in 28 games in the A as a 19 year old. Theyre getting 2 A prospects with pro experience
