Description
I'm assuming Gustavsson gets protected and Seattle takes Daccord. I realize that Dorion will likely make some trades and signings in the off-season to bring in some vets (like he did last season), but I'm hoping he's learned from past failures and keeps a roster similar to how this season ended. I would consider a veteran character F for the bottom 6 like Foligno.

People will disagree on how much and how long I have Brady signing for, but at this point I think he wants a bridge deal to maximize his next contract and unless he's signing an 8 year contract the Sens won't open up the pocket book. It will take a while but they will settle on a 3-4 year deal worth $5.5-6m per season.

The other FA signings can be debated. The big ones will be Batherson, Zub and to a lesser extent Mete. Batherson's contract will be interesting and we could see the impact of White's bad contract on the Sens' internal salary structure. Ideally, you wouldn't pay Batherson more than $3.5-4m on a short-term deal, but Batherson will absolutely be expecting a contract north of what White is making. Zub will be very interesting I think the Sens may give him a Zaitsev-esque contract, but I think it would be be better to sign him shorter term at a slightly lower cap hit. I love him, but I think 1 shortened season is too little sample to reward him with a bigger contract.

I’m not sure we should sign anyone besides depth players. Maybe give Abramov, Logan Brown a shot to make the team

I would be absolutely fine if they chose to do that. At this point in his career, Foligno is a depth player and he is absolutely the type of veteran leader you want around young players.

Seattle isn't taking a career AHL goalie in Daccord. They'll likely take Logan Brown. Big centres like that are rare and a change of scenery could be good for him

The sens likely protect Logan Brown still, and I contest the "career minor-leaguer" tag you put on Daccord. This was Daccord's first year pro and until he was playing well for the Sens. Daccord has that it factor confidence and is an amazing puck handler in the mould of a Marty Turco. If the Sens could they would probably protect both Daccord and Gustavsson.
