Not gonna work for Panarin. Plus, Chicago is keeping him.

I don't think you have a "feel" for the Leafs. Having Hyman at centre, Zaitsev, at RW, and he certainly is making more than 3.25 as the Leafs top RHD, Corrado still on the team. Gotta think Brown and Hyman are going to get paid a lot more.
Klefbom. Oilers aren't retaining that much salary for so long.
And those trades: Unless Edmonton hates Klefbom, why would they make that trade? You have a roster of 20, why trade Martin? He had a purpose on the Leaf team.
Can't see the Leafs trading Kadri and Monahan (and Monahan makes 1.5 more) and the Leafs give up a first rounder and more?

Hyman hasn't produced a lot of points (38GP, 18P). For his production this year. This is a fair deal. Besides, it;s only for 3 years! He isn't locked to this deal till he's 40. Depending on how he does, his salary can definitely go up. As for Brown, he is producing at the exact same rate as Hyman, so what makes you think that he should earn more? And again, it's a 2-year deal. He can improve his stats and he'll be earning more in 2 years. But for now, these are fair contracts.
As for the Monahan trade... what's wrong? Kadri is a good player, but anyone in the right state of mind will agree that Monahan is better, even if he is struggling a bit this year. There's nothing wrong in adding a bit to our cap figure. I doubt Rychel will become an impact player. The first and second are a bit much, but the Flames are retaining almost 1 mil of his salary long-term.

I will accept that Zaitsev is probably worth a but more than 3.25, I've edited his salary.

Monahan is about a 60 point man, and Kadri is career 50 point man. Think the difference is worth 1.7m (retained .7)a year and a first round pick....that's subjective. I'm in a right state of mind, but I just question the value of acquiring Monahan which seems to a marginally better player. And I imagine Monahan has seen a lot more PP time than Kadri which would elevate Monaghan's points.
I've been following Marincin also and he is marginal NHL Dman. And Johnson, Leafs fans had high hopes for him after his SHL career. But he hasn't proved is an NHLer at all, so his trade value is almost non existent at the NHL level.
