As someone who's had the fortune of watching both Kolesar and Robertson in the WHL, you are out of your goddamn gourde if you're entertaining that trade. You're still overreacting to the Wilson debacle and you're giving up a quality prospect and sell-high player in the process.

Flip Gauthier for him sure, but that package is way too much to even think of giving up for a 4th line brawler. He might come with a degree of skill but he isn't passing any of the top-three other RW's the Rangers are blessed with.

Why should the lottery Rangers give up a first and a lot more for one year of Hertl? No going to chance the Rangers much next season.

I don't agree with going for Hertl... sure, you're leaving 9.5mil cap space left over and that helps, but you still have Zib, Hertl, Strome, Kakko, Kravstov, and Fox who all need contracts next year, most of which will rightfully so be eaten up by Fox. I'm also not sure why the Sharks would dump him, considering he's one of their younger players and will be pretty instrumental in any kind of rebuilding or retooling.
