Description

Reinhart just makes way too much sense going to Colorado. They need RW depth and if they keep Kadri then they need a guy who can play center at a reasonably high level when the seemingly inevitable playoff suspension comes along for Kadri. They can also afford to take him on as a pure rental for a Cup run so at TDL prices even no extension isn't necesssrily a deal breaker.

Eichel trade is somewhat secondary here but something I could see happening.

The question really is who do the Sabres get as a temporary option at 1C to shield the kids? Which UFA do they massively overpay (Danault?)? Is there someone short-term they target (Strome, Domi, other Strome?)? Looking for suggestions (other than keep Reinhart or Eichel which I don't see happening).

Except that the Avs have Newhook to play center. I like Reinhart a lot but COL isn’t giving up that package for a year rental.
