If he wants out... and if Laine says he wants out... CLB could do worse than getting Andersson (5 years) and Monahan (2 years) plus a whack of futures.

Any deal for Jones and/or Laine would need to include pre-negotiated extensions.

I think I'm gonna pass on this one. Some other team can throw the kitchen sink at Jones. Hanifin broke out as a top pair caliber defenseman this year, especially under Sutter. This also guts our teams center depth with very little room to adjust it

Flames very easily decline laine and sutter would not work at all. Jones is a below average defensmen and korpisalo would be the backup.
