Description
I would far rather have kept Naz and JVR for the same amount of money that Marner got paid. The reason the powerplay is awful is because teams know he is going to stand at the circle, stickhandle dance around, and not shoot, because his shot is ****ing god damned muffin, and its not even like he was snakebitten and couldnt score, he flat out stunk. Burkie even said during the Barzal contract negotiations that Lou wont overpay Barzal just because some moron (Dubas) gave someone (Marner) an awful deal. Who the **** do you trade him to, how do you fix the third pairing, also Joe Thornton needs to retire god bless him but hes shot, it was painful to watch him I know he had the one nice tip in goal but its over. Anyone who said trade Nylander is a moron he is way better value than marner is.

Mitch does need to go. I say see if Vegas wants to part mith MAF.. suddenly we have a solid crease for a few more years

they always look for the pretty goal or play, at least thats what it looks like. marner had prcie on his stomach today and he started dancing around the net and blew it. malholtra did a awful job. thornton has no business being on any pp, unless he parks in front of the net, but malholtra has him in a shooter position. leaf fans deserve better, for the most part

Bigger question is why do the leaf fans drag Marner and give Matthews a pass. He had 2 point the last 5 games( 1 was a pity point in the dying minutes of game 7) and has historically disappointed in game 7 or elimination games. Are you guys just hell bent on blaming Marner when Matthews has also done absolutely nothing to make you guys a cup winning team? He had 40+ Goals and could only manage to get goals in one game of 7?!

I give up with Marner. Same thing every year. Love him but he doesn't perform in the post season at all

The reason the Leafs PP was awful is 100% on the system/configuration (as far as we know, Malholtra was in charge of that). I was absolutely shocked that they didn't make a personnel change in that regard during the regular season. Not defending Marner, he was trash, but that in particular was not on him.
