Description

I'm honestly surprised this actually worked

3 scoring lines with a defensive 4th line

Only concern is defense but from what I saw from Liljegren he has taken that next step and with Muzzin he should settle in nicely to the NHL

This was just an Idea that came to me one day and honestly it doesn't look half bad

1. Philly gets cap space and leafs get JVR back

2. Boyle was the best option to me as he can do a little bit of everything and my goal was to make a defensive 4th line who can contribute a goal or two every now and again

3. Bozak to me seems perfect especially when you consider bringing back JVR as well.

4. Chose to bring back freddie on a 1 year show me deal. Works well as what if Campbell struggles, a fully healthy freddie can take over the starting job again

none of these guys are under 6'0 tall lul so if thats you definition of small thats pretty sad. And all but 2 are over the age of 25 so how are they young exactly? Muzzin, Brodie, Bogosian are all in their 30's, Rielly and Holl will soon be in their 30's.

As for the slow part, Bozak and JVR are not really that slow, same with Spezza. Still skating the same when they left Toronto. Also JVR and Bozak play a well rounded game and with their familiarity to this team would make fine additions

we get a bottom 6 forward for JVR AND we retain 2 mill? thanks but no thanks. and with the leafs icing playoff-caliber teams, the 3rd would be a late round pick which wouldn't add all that much value. Philly is a hard pass on this one

losing him to seattle wouldn't cost us a 2 million dollar retainer. On top of that; strategically speaking; we're going to have to lose somebody, so doing this only ends up with us losing JVR as well as another roster player. If I'm Chuck Fletcher; I like to go in having a fairly confident idea of exactly who it is they're going to nab.

On top of all that; there's rumors we may leave Jake exposed instead of JVR. It gives us more cap space, and he's signed for a year longer than JVR.
