Too much for Marner. The 1st is a no go. The Jackets need that pick to help with the pipeline. Buffalo will not take just picks for Eichel. It would likely take more than the Jackets want to give up.

Buffalo declines they need nhl ready prospect and young already established players, taking only picks in return pushes their rebuild another 5 yrs down the rd something sabres fans won’t put up with

Any team playing Erik Gustaffson on the top pair and Harrington - Ryan as the bottom pair is much closer to behind a bottom feeder than playoff tean.

The value on the Eichel deal is also way, way, way off. A team willing to give up a single early 1st and a single A prospect crushes this offer. And that's still very far from getting Eichel. Just an awful effort.
