Description
This is coming from a Pens fan, so I am open to any constructive criticism from the Calgary folks on here.

It seems that almost every AGM on here has Zucker as the expansion get for Seattle from Pittsburgh, so I just went with the trend.

I don't think the Pens are going to undergo any major roster surgery this offseason as some folks on here seem to predict (joking or not).

Here's my logic on the trade:
- I think Tkachuk is the best player in the trade. I think the order of value of players in this trade, from high to low, is Tkachuk, Guentzel, Marino, Tanev, Pettersson, Lucic. I think Tkachuk to Guentzel is a slight drop off, Marino to Tanev is a slight drop off, Pettersson to Lucic is a slight drop off.
- The youth that Calgary loses in the forward group by trading Tkachuk (23) for Guentzel (26) is made up on the back end by swapping out a 31 YO Tanev for a 24 YO Marino.
- Pens take on Lucic for another big body in the forward group.
- Pettersson goes to CGY to balance out salaries. Pettersson has a bit more upside, is 1M cheaper per year but at 1 year longer than Lucic. Pettersson is probably the more useful player, but it's sort of a swapping of dead contracts. Pens pay more per year but get out one year sooner.

Happy to receive any and all feedback! Thanks for reading!

Marino >>>>> Lucic tho 🤷‍♂️

MP ~ = Tanev also

Pretty reasonable return all told

Well clearly you weren’t watching tanev this year. And we’re not trading tkachuk for anyone worse than him, end of story. Flames don’t consider including tkachuk unless the offer has a top 10 C coming back

Here is some constructive criticism from a pens fan...just no lol Tkachuk would be nice but not if it includes taking the other garbage with it. To say Lucic is only a slight drop off from MP shows you haven’t watched much Lucic recently or not a lot of MP either. To say Tanev is only a slight drop off from Marino shows maybe you haven’t watched a lot of Tanev or Marino either.
Marino>MP
MP at worst = Tanev
The difference between Tanev and MP is that Tanev will be on his downward of his career and MP is entering his prime. Which means he likely will get better. So nahhh
