the values in those trades are off....especially the first two

Why would you offer O'brien to Seattle to take Ghost, are you protecting JVR? If youre protecting JVR why turn around and deal him for a pitiful 5th rounder?

Ghost and JVR have value, especially to a team with 80mil in cap space and few offensive weapons to keep the ship respectable while theire drafting catches up. JVR is worth more than a 5th.

Arvidsson's speed would be good to have as would Manson's 2 way play, but cant see spending 8.5 on Hamilton when the team needs defensive dmen. I'd love Hamilton, but think you'd need to bring some defensive dmen as well.

Overall you've lost ALOT of youth; Patrick, OBrien, Zamula, 2 2nds and a 3rd, and alot of that is just to clear cap for Hamilton.

To be completely honest, that's nothing to clear up cap space for Hamilton and they should do that any day of the week. Patrick hurts but it likely wasn't going to work here anyways. Zamula is the 4th best young LHD in the system and should be expendable. Outside of a small handful of guys this team seldom to never hits on 2nd and 3rd round picks (I'm pretty sure they haven't successfully developed a single 3rd other than Ghost in the last 15 years). O'Brien is looking to be a bust anyways.

Idk, I think this is a considerably better team without giving up any major assets. I'd be thrilled with this type of offseason

I'd be thrilled too, anyone who doesn't think signing the most coveted FA dman who is RH and can play in all situations is a good thing, I'm not sure they've watched the Flyers this year. It's not only playing defense, it's breakouts, its being calm under pressure with the puck, being able to bring the puck out yourself which he can with his abilities. '

I also hope they go after Seth Jones, I wouldn't mind Manson in the least but Jones is my number one offseason target. I think he fits in perfect with this team, whether he plays on the top line with Provy or if he plays with Sanheim on sort of a 1b line.
