Serious dark horse energy here.
I think if they give up Ned in the trade there'll be UFA goalies tripping over each other to sign.
That said would also do Gardiner as a cap dump and two firsts instead of Ned or something else.

IMO, the Canes don't have the cap to take Eichel. They have Svechniov to sign. And wouldn't the Canes be much better off signing Hamilton for 9m and keeping Necas, Jarvis and Nedeljkovic?

It's would be debatable how much better off they would be, Hamilton has been negative to them in the playoffs but yes, the cap wouldn't be great but Eichel and Svechnikov on a line would be disgusting.

It seems to be the popular idea that Skjei comes off the books with Seattle and Gardiner could be included as a cap dump?
I will play with their roster and get back to you

It's tight unless they can move Gardiner to open some cap space. Driedger and Reimer could be their tandem at 2 x 2 and 2.5 x 2 respectively. So it's tight but could draw some paycuts from guys wanting to be a part of the lineup depth too.
