I think they should let him go and sign RNH/trade for Monhan

New season, Bergy will be 36, Krejci 35, Marchand 33/34 and Hall will turn 30, while not forgetting that Smith will be 32 and Coyle will turn 30.

That's a VERY VERY old forward core, and it's a problem IMO. Retting RNH means getting younger while not really downgrading, cause Krejci's decline is on the horizon, while RNH's is YEARS away, like at least 5-6 years away.
