Description

This is mostly about the value check....
I assume that every Flyer fan will say that Couturier is not tradeable (and I would guess they are right)... but let's pretend that Fletcher doesn't think he can pay him next summer, or Couturier doesn't want to stay, and CF tries to capture value while he can... It's been said that there is at least a little interest in Dumba by PHI, and I would prefer to pay this sort of package for Couturier to Eichel..
Probably needs value adjusted or more salary going back to MN... not sure... suggest away.
I think that with the cap situation, one of Boldy or Duhaime or Dewar etc should be on the team. I don't know RD well enough so I just plugged the hole with Hunt to complete the roster.

For a pending UFA that is a solid package. If I'm Wild I'd hesitate doing this...if Couts walked it would be such a step back in their retool, they'd lose two or three years completely

What's with all the Konecny love? Neither his Point stats nor his advanced stats have me excited to trade for him and his $5.5 cap hit... what am I missing on him that is appealing?

But I get the point about Couts being a risk... it's always a risk to trade for someone 1 year away from UFA.

I wouldn't see him as a rental though. And BG wouldn't do that trade for a rental... He's always about better now and better down the line. I'd be trading for Couturier knowing that I would need to pay him in a year and I'm okay with that. Perhaps that's a naiive take to think that we could re-sign someone we traded for, but that would be the intent.
