It makes more sense to keep Golyshev and give Seattle one of Koivula/bellows considering Trotz clearly has no interest in using them.

Whatever gets them to take Leddy’s full contract (preferably without adding draft picks) I would do. Based on what we’ve heard about Golyshev, I think his upside is higher than Bellows’ at this point and he’d have more value on the trade market. Of course there’s the potential that trading him would burn us somewhat, but if we clear enough space that making upgrades at 2LD and perhaps 3LW is possible, then it could end up being worth it.

Bellows we could send somewhere in another trade, but I don’t have a good gauge on his value and I don’t know who would want him, assuming he survives the expansion draft. Same thing for Aho, since he probably isn’t part of the future either.

What do you think of the contract for Andersen? Too little? Is he a guy we should go after at all?

I think you’re underestimating the value Leddy has on the market. Despite being owed 7 mill in actual salary, he’s still considered a top 4 smooth skating D whos played top pair minutes on a cup contender. I’d rather give up a few mid rd picks to get rid of Leddy than get rid of Golyshev. I’m not a prospect hugger, but golyshev has a high floor and a high ceiling. I’m very confident he comes in next season and has a similar season to guys that the Blackhawks sign from Europe.

Any team that uses some form of analytics will take a chance on bellows/Aho. I don’t know what their values are, but they have value IMO.

The anderson contract seems fair, I would think it makes sense for him to play for the isles , boost his numbers and cash in next offseason
