you do realize that Kreider has a NMC and insisted on it for less money, so that he could lock his future in NYC, right?

His modified NMC only starts in 2024/25

also, has per Bettman, "salary cap likely to remain stagnant for the remainder of the current CBA extension", which means another 4 years

If the Rangers don't bring back Zibanejad, who is his BFF, then I could see Kreider waiving his NMC for Boston and only Boston. That being said, Boston won't want him at that contract so it's a moot point.
