Connor, Leon, RNH, JP, Yam, Kassian, Archie

Nurse, Bear, Jones

Stalock

Chicago trade happens after expansion because they can’t agree on salary retention and Blackhawks decide to take a run at Hamilton and lose out. Seattle takes a stab at Klefboom and worst case he never plays and best they get a top 4 blue liner.

Varlamov trade happens at the draft Oilers need a goalie, Sorokin is the heir apparent and gives the Islanders cap space.

This team doesn’t require a ton of tweaks. Bouchard slides into Barries role and Keith will benefit from a reduced role and help mentor the Oilers young Defencemen. If Cossa is gone Oilers will look to drop down in the draft. Chicago trade works cause Blackhawks still save cap space and get the Jones boys. Koekook played well enough in his limited appearances to get another year and Oilers lock up Larsson.

Forwards the Oilers go for Hyman but likely miss and take Schwartz on a short term high money deal. Glendening gives them the right shot centre they want. Vesey is a bit of a flyer but the Oilers will take a chance on him. Kahun is brought back for redemption.

Benson gets a shot first time someone gets injured and Holloway and Broberg both get a full year in the minors.

I see Yamamoto getting a 2 yr bridge deal same as Bears 2x2
Not retaining 50% on Koskinen his buyout is cheap

Varly was one of the top 5 starters in the league this season. He has more value than one second round pick. At least multiple seconds, if not a first.

I saw an AGM that was met by approval from a few islander fans of a first Marody and stalock for Varly and Leddy. So taking out already this is what I figured

He might I think oilers would push for 3x3 as that’s better for them. Wherever koskinen is oilers or gone I think he’s a solid backup and not worth buying out
