The Monahan of the future vs his salary or the Monahan of the past?

His production has declined significantly the last 2 seasons and is UFA to be in 2 seasons too... Very risky to acquire depending on the price to pay.

Also, Greig is not blocked by anyone, he's still 18 y/o. He looked really good in the AHL as a teenager but still need a bit of development and mainly to fill out physically. Keep in mind Greig is versatile and could either be LW or Center (maybe even RW?). He is made in the Brad Marchand mold, not the type of player you should get rid of too fast, even if he never becomes as good.
