Description
Seattle Trade

Moving Jay O'Brien to free up Voracek is a fine deal for Philadelphia. Jake is a solid producer, but his attitude and effort on the ice don't align with what the Flyers ought to aspire to be. He's exposed on the list for cap purposes and throwing a prospect that is still a project towards Seattle should be enough to seal the deal.

Arizona Trade

Arizona struggled to get convert on high danger goals this past year and JVR can do that. They have plenty of cap room and he is under contract for another two years. The Flyers pick up Farrinacci, who projects to be a top-nine, bottom-six player that can be a solid two-way forward on the bottom lines. Also get the rights to Hjalmersson to help on the defensive end.

St. Louis Trade

The Blues are going to be close to the cap this year and swapping Sundqvist for Lacynski is a good move for both teams. Lacysnski can play an all-around game on their bottom-six and Sundqvist would create a great shutdown line with Laughton and Coleman for the Flyers.

Minnesota Trade

I've seen this one on here quite a bit and personally love it. Patrick is a bust and won't work out in Philadelphia, but a team like Minnesota can take a flyer on him and add in the 13th overall pick this year.

Vancouver Trade

The Flyers get a backup goaltender and the Canucks get some cap space and a draft selection. Holtby has been to the top of the mountain and will fit in well as a backup to Carter Hart.

Coleman will make a lot more in UFA

It'll take more for SEA to take Voras contract

Same with Arz. Teams aren't taking on massive money without major incentives

Dumba and holtby moves are fine, although there are thougths that Min might be able to keep Dumba in expansion in which case I'm not sure he'd be moved but neither here nor there

I'm doubtful that Coleman will be able to command more. The Laughton, Lowry, and Tanev deals kinda set the table, especially in a flat cap world. He gets a better AAV but shorter term here.

Seattle gets to add a decent middle-six projected prospect. I'd consider throwing in another pick or something, but the cap swings both ways. It comes down to how desperate are teams going to be convince SEA to take certain players knowing that SEA has to take them anyways to reach the cap. Arizona kinda in the same boat with being under by 10M. Deals should be made if the marginal benefit > the marginal cost. Maybe Arizona can milk an additional pick or something, but they still benefit from having JVR on the team and the cost to get him is rather low.

I think most of the trades are pretty close in value, maybe some minor adjustments might need to be made though.
