McDonagh still making $6.75M 3-5 years from now scares me though. He really doesn’t fit Edmonton’s contention window.

Broberg on the other hand, is slated for that 2LD spot 2-3 years from now, and he’ll be much cheaper

💯 this… oilers window is now, 3-5 years from now will be a rebuild which you can retain on McD and trade him for assets. Everyone seems to think players die at 30.. elite players don’t.
