I'm surprised that we aren't hearing more about the Flames trying to market Giordano prior to the expansion draft. He would be a great addition to a team who wants to take a cup run, and the Flames could retain 50% of his salary to make him affordable as a one year rental.

Also, I think that Calgary would be crazy to do that Eichel deal.

I would not do Kuzy for Monahan. May be fair value but I think Kuzy is better even when uninspired

They aren't marketing him because Calgary is trying to compete, If Seattle takes him and flips to a different competitor (like Boston who could use a top 6 LD) then good for them.

Agreed though, this is definitely an overpay for Eichel, his price is dropping now too. I would imagine any Eichel to Calgary trade now would be Monahan and a bunch of futures.
