Description
Team's been pretty meh on the powerplay this year so why not bring in a pure PPQB? I don't think he's as good as Hamilton but the commitment isn't as big either so the risk is also lowered.

Janmark, Goligoski and Hirose are players I like. Janmark can be added as a safety net at center and can play LW in the meantime and Goligoski as a veteran can help out the rooks.

If we can’t land Hamilton the habs should absolutely go after Barrie. (As well as Alec Martinez, but he is a LHD, so it doesn’t work as well)

The problem with Barrie is he's pretty crap defensively and the Habs are built around their defensive game. He'd be a great add as a 3rd pairing D that can be a power-play specialist, but asking him to step into Weber's spot is a recipe for failure. Maybe if they went with something like Savard and Barrie, but I think the price would be too high.

I like Janmark, but I think he's more of a fallback option. Getting a solid 20 goal scorer like Saad or trading for a guy like Copp would probably be the better option in my mind, but Janmark would be a solid backup plan.

Oh I know, he's burning the AHL but not making the jump with the Wings. I don't understand why he fell out of favor in the org, they should've given him every chance to shine while being crap yet they played him six games this year.
