Description
"Malgré les bons services qu’il a rendus au Canadien lors des dernières séries éliminatoires, les négociations entre les deux camps sont au point mort.

D’ailleurs, une source près du dossier a affirmé au Journal que Danault ne s’attend pas à signer à Montréal.

Selon une autre source, l’athlète originaire de Victoriaville exigerait une entente de cinq ou six saisons qui lui rapporterait annuellement un salaire avoisinant les 5,5 M$."

English : a source says Danault isnt expecting to sign in MTL. He's asking around 5.5m for 5-6 years

Add the fact that Price could go to SEA & Weber LTIR... W T F

38m if Drouin is LTIR... bruh

Really, doesn't need a "source" to say that if Denault (or any UFA) isn't likely to sign with his current team, if he hasn't signed with them already.

everyone loves Danault, myself included, but do you want to pay $5.5 to a guy that gets you hardly any offense. Keep in mind during the season Danault and Evans had similar numbers in faceoff's during the season. Evans tailed off near the end but most of the season they were similar. So pay Evans that costs you much less, then go after a scoring winger. I would not be upset of Danault comes back but I also understand if he doesn't.

It's crazy to see all these changes many of us wanted come to fruition. Don't overpay Danault in FA, dont protect Weber in expansion, get Price to waive his NMC, protect Allen from the Kraken and dump Drouin anywhere. It's all coming together now, somehow!

Kraken must decide what are their intentions with Driedger. To me he is key. If they see him as a #2, then I would take Price. If they see him as a #1, then I would take Drouin or Danault.

I love this. If Seattle takes Price either hit the free agent/ trade market hard or take on some serious dead weight and get some top end prospects and picks in the 22 and 23 drafts. Both of which are very deep
