Description
- We could add another blue-chip piece to the Monahan trade, maybe Kaut or Bowers. I know Kadri has to agree, but this could be a good deadline deal for Calgary if they're not making the playoffs.
- Stastny might cost a little more, but I believe he'd take a discount to return to where it all began.
- Tuukka likely goes for more, and it's probably not the best signing, but...

If I'm the Flames I think I run away from the table with that deal. Great possession numbers that Sutter would love, young right shot D that can break camp on the bottom pairing and a pick for futures, checks a lot of boxes for Calgary for sure.

That was only cause he wanted to stay in Toronto, that's well documented that he felt if he nixed a trade he wouldn't be moved from the Leafs.

thats an awful deal. Why in the world would the Avs move Kadri and 2 solid assets for arguably a lateral move at 2C
Monahan has been torched by the fan base for the past 2 yeras for his inconsistent play and his compete level, especially in the playoffs.

Add in Monahans cap hit, that is just a bad deal for the Avs where cap is at a premium
