Description

I know this is all a big what if but I was thinking about his last night.
I truly believe we have 5 top 6 players - Kane, Toews, Debrincat, Dach, Kubalik.
I think after that we have Strome who can be a top 6 if he plays with strong wingers.
But what if kurashev, gaudette, or Reichel truly show up and grow into an every day top 6 player.

I really like borgstrom as well but I think he will be a strome type player. Really good player that can play in the top 6 but in a championship team is a great third liner.

Gaudette is my sleeper player this year. I think he signed a one year dear because this might be the year he really snaps back to who he is meant to be. I think he could easily be a #2 center if everything goes his way in his growth and if he truly has his health issues figured out.

Reichel is the other question mark what if he really is NHL ready what if he steps in and has a Dach rookie season and can play center today?

I did a quick roster projection if gaudette is ready even though I think Reichel might be better.

We still have way to many forwards

I think it’s great lines, my point though is I think Gaudette could be a top 6 forward for us.

I don't think Gaudette will be a top 6 forward. I actually think he's the Jack of all trades, but master of none. He can do a lot of thinks ok, but nothing I've seen him do makes me think he's an every day player. The odds are much more likely that one of TJ, Strome, Borgstrom will get that #2C role.
