True. This is a contending outfit after all. Still, though, I know that KK's future in Carolina, if the offer sheet succeeds, will be at that 2C or 3C spot.

I imagine it's insurance for the Trocheck conversations when those come around for his extension. We don't need trocheck with Kotka here. Between him and Necas, one of them will be a C. Possibly both when Staal departs in two years

I mean, he just said there are reports that Troch is willing to play some wing if needed. I haven’t personally seen that yet but If there’s truth to that it’s good to hear.

I agree Troch is the better center but I love the team first mentality he’s showing if those reports are true. In reality KK will likely get a shot at top 6 C this year bc of injuries so we should get a good read on him as a top 6 winger and a 2/3C throughout the year.

My guess is that one of Nino or Trocheck will extend with us and the other will get paid handsomely in the open market. There's definitely a spot available for veteran leadership on the middle-six as guys like Jarvis and Drury enter our lineup.
