Description
It is put up or leave time for both L. Brown and C. White. Brown is no longer waiver exempt so he'll be on the team or traded because 6'6" skilled centers under the age of 25 don't clear waivers. C. White has to prove he is worth his contract or it would be better to trade him, or more likely buy him out.

So put them on the same line with Stützle and see what the 3 first rounders can do together. I have them listed a stye 2nd line because they are all players we drafted expecting they would produce offensively, so let's give them the ice time and they will either sink or swim.

I'm assuming no taxi squad, or else Gustavsson would be backup and Foraberg would be on the Taxi Squad.

Logan Brown would need to earn that 2nd line spot at camp and that'll be a big hill to climb. Pinto's 7 points in 12 games was impressive and he's already earned enough trust to get PK time, whereas Logan Brown has regularly been outshined by "lesser" players at both rookie camp and regular camps. I'm not against putting L Brown in the bottom 6 where he would at least not be playing against the oppositions best defensive pairings. If he's between Formenton and Connor Brown (on the 3rd line) his lack of speed and defensive efforts would be far less glaring - and it's not like those wingers can't score!
It would be great if they found a taker for Tierney. Even a 4th rd pick is a return they should jump on. Opens up the door for Ridly Greig to play a few games before being sent back to juniors and then maybe a permanent spot for Parker Kelly who is going to be a really fun 4th liner to watch.

I don't understand moving Tierney. He is your best defensive centre, he is your only veteran centre and his contract expires after the season. Sure, at the TDL you can move him for picks, but he still has a role to play for you guys. He is the most defensively responsible guy you have in the middle, with Pinto likely having the ability to take over in a year. Wouldn't be wise to put to much weight on Pinto's shoulders as a player with only 12 games IMO. Tierney is fine on the 3rd/4th line for this year.

Waiting until the trade deadline is fine with me BUT Tierney is not the most defensively responsible pivot we have. He was brutal last season. I can't imagine him being AS BAD this year, it was more of a blip, but he had more giveaways (in straight numbers, per game and per 60min) than Norris, White, Pinto and Paul. Knowing we could move Tierney now and use that money to bring in Bozak for a year, or even keep a door open for Parker Kelly or Ridly Greig... yeah, I'm all for it.

I'm was just looking at his usage (d-zone vs o-zone starts, PK time and overall ice time). All the numbers suggest that he is the centre that has bee used most defensively out of all your centres, hence why his point totals likely dropped. I am not going to argue over how good he is, I was just purely looking at his usage and age obviously,
