    Surprised you didn't bring Toffoli back, as well as the fact that Mysak and Tuch just arrived in the NHL. I'd sign Toffoli for 3 years to be a stopgap for Mysak

    Yeah, with only 2 players under contract and a projected significant bump in the salary cap, that would be way to difficult to do.

    By this point it will have been 5 years since Myšák and Tuch were drafted, and Myšák would be waiver eligible. If anything Myšák might be in the NHL before this.

    I didn’t re-sign Toffoli because I just couldn’t afford him. Especially since the year that he was up Petry, Savard, and Armia were still under contract.

    I'd definitely think that Mysak would be in the NHL before this. I'd say 2-3 years from the present.

    I'm now seeing that as time goes on, the Canadiens are extremely low on cap space.
