VGK is going to have a hard enough time fitting Nolan in under cap, let alone fit Zucker and his $5.5M.

Plus I think all of Victor Mete, Nick Holden and Michael Del Zotto can play RD too
Erik Brannstrom too but they ruled it out as they think it's not good for his game

Plus I'd be totally fine with Rodrigues as the 12-13th forward. He provides a bit of RW depth and this move saves Melnyk 400 000$!

so somebody explain to me why a lot of people on this site want the Pens to get Nolan Patrick and/or Robert Thomas. What have they proven?

Pens can just offer sheet N.Patrick and give away nothing, if they gave him 1.25M offer sheet, VGK probably couldn’t match it.
