IMO, these are more the reasonable trades. MIN needs a guy like Hertl, BUT he won't be there next year FOR SURE...so that's a business decision they'd need to make. I could see Evander Kane going to AZ, the trade value is certainly right. Kane's salary is decreasing over time. They could actually use at least 1 veteran on the team. the NYI, is the hardest part to me. Burns is still expensive and defensively not sound, BUT NYI could use a puck mover that NOT Erik Gustafsson. I don't see how NYI fit him on their roster, but all in all...they should make that trade.

Just don't think the Isles would want Burns, even at $5m, for the next 4 years. We are almost out of cap hell. I'd rather wait til the summer and use that money a little bit wiser on a younger free agent

EDIT: also handedness may not seem like a huge thing but it is to Trotz. He likes a true left-right pairing. Isles already have Pulock-Dobson-Mayfield down the right. Not sure Barry would want anyone playing on their off side unless there was a significant injury
