Tkachev with Danault is pretty indicative that he will have all the chances to make the team. Love that Wagner and Frk scored goals, those two don't want to get waived

Mayor's Manor had a pretty good article this morning about the waivers/trade situation coming up at the end of training camp. They broke down the group of players fighting for spots into two categories:

Group A (waivers exempt) – Anderson-Dolan, Byfield, ****emo, Kaliyev, Kupari, Madden, Tkachev, Turcotte
Group B (waivers eligible) – Frk, Grundstrom, Lemieux, Lizotte, or Wagner

Assuming every player from Group A is sent to the AHL, then only one player from Group B must be traded or waived before the season starts. For every player from Group A that you want to keep on the roster, you have to waive or trade an additional player from Group B.

I’m hoping to see Lemieux get it and stick. Otherwise I’m not feeling too good about starting the season without someone to defend the skill players.

I’m pulling for Tkachev, JAD, Lemieux, and either Grundstrom or Turcotte.

From McLellan's statements from earlier today, it sounds like Tkachev, Edler, Arvidsson, and Danault are going to be the only new guys earning regular spots in the lineup. The rest of the waiver exempt kids will all be playing in the AHL this season.

That means that the Kings will have to waive two of the guys from Group B above. I suspect that Frk and Wagner will be the guys that don't make the cut.
