I'm sure brady will get done but there is a chance this goes further then the October 12th deadline for cap compliance. Ottawa has lots of 3rds why not offer sheet bellows.ive always liked his game, it insures we are cap compliant and adds a great asset that would be tough to grab in the 3rd round anyway.

Don't worry about being cap compliant. There are going to lots of 3rd/4th liners that are going to be put on waivers for cap reasons by their teams.
Sens fans shouldn't worry about Brady not signing. That's his right. Also Sens right. Sens are an improving team but won't be making the playoffs this season. If Brady wants to miss time or even the whole year, that's a lot better than succumbing to his ridiculous contract demands (in the Sens management eyes)

I agree, I'm not worried about when he will sign but Eugene will get fined if not compliant so why not take advantage of the situation and gain a real asset instead of picking up a depreciated one off waivers

fairly sure that Bellows would get matched at that... if you're going for a third round pick make it worth your while and go closer to the ceiling on a 1 year deal... 2.05M x 1

Creative idea. I would just be mindful of what comes around goes around. NYI management might have the ability to return the favour on a future player of more value. See Carolina v Montreal
